Silly (Creative Scrappers #232)
Today I finished my next to last challenge over at Scrap-Friendzy for October - using textures of fall. I had these pictures printed and the piece of straw ready for the perfect sketch, and this week's Creative Scrappers sketch is just that. I just got a pack of MME Kraft Funday from ScrapbookSteals this week, and I put it to use. I thought the kraft was the perfect feel for this layout, and the title banner included fit amazingly. I finished off the layout with some twine (Twinery), brads (Stampin' Up), a button (Stampin' Up), and a unique item - staples used to create the hangers for the title banner.

daddy!
I love the basic design on this Creative Scrappers sketch, so I thought it would work perfectly for the picture of my husband with our daughter on their first Father's Day. She fell asleep in his arms while we were watching NASCAR in our make-shift office (we were remodeling the other two bedrooms). I had seen a few people using the B sides of papers recently, and I decided to have a go at doing a layout with only the B side (and solid cardstock). All of the patterned papers are from MLS Oasis. It is an oriental themed line, so I knew I would have to think outside the box to use some of those papers I got in my warehouse box!
I thought the white matting on the black cardstock would make everything pop! I had done black matting before, and one of the design team members at CS had done it on her layout, so it helped give me the idea to use white on this one.
The layout it finished off with some Thickers and some Downtown Tape washi.

Just Right
This layout just sort of morphed into what it became. I started with inspiration from the Paper Girls Challenge Blog and the sketch at Creative Scrappers.
I quickly decided I wanted to do the circles on the sketch as a negative and fill them with pinkish papers and washi. Then I decided to add in a challenge over at Scrap-Friendzy to use 5 patterned papers, 5 pieces of washi or ribbon, 5 stickers, 5 flowers, and 5 buttons. So, I stuck with 5 patterned papers plus a solid pink for the circles (plus 5 strips of washi). The papers are a mix of MME and MLS, and the washi is Downtown Tape and Studio G. The buttons are mostly from Oriental Trading I think. Then I worked on the flowers. I used a paper clip flower from KI Memories, two out of papers from MLS (same ones at the background), a Doodle Bug flower, and a washi tape flower with a paper flower center. The little stickers on the photo are Authentique (Journey and Genuine) and the title is MLS alphas.
