Okay, I am not the best card maker. Part of the problem is that I am TERRIBLE at sending cards. Normally the only cards that I remember to send are for my husband's family. That doesn't mean I don't like to make them. It just means I have a few sitting on my desk still unused already, including one I made for my mom that I forgot the send...
But, I do have to make cards for my in-laws (or buy some...), so I used the ScrapbookSteals MCM 67 sketch to make two for my brother-in-laws. Here is the sketch and finished cards:
Kristy Lee used washi tape for the "banners," but I decided to use scraps of my "boy" MME papers instead (Stella and Rose Hattie, Fine and Dandy and possibly Alphabet Soup). I used a piece of solid tan cardstock as the base, and I stamped it with a Unity stamp I bought from a friend when she was de-stashing a little. I used my Xyron X to glue the strips and just stuck them down on the cardstock. I decided to put their "numbers" on the front of the cards instead of a sentiment, partly because it was just easier. I used some AC stickers I already had, and put them on some solid cardstock. I cut the shapes with my Creative Memories shape cutters, and then just glued them on the cards after inking the edges (which I did with all of the papers on these cards). It make for a simple yet fun set of cards.
